Nifty-Lift held the official product launch for the Ruthmann Ecoline RS200 at this years’ Hire and Rental Association conference, HIRE19. Nifty-Lift have combined with Ruthmann to bring this popular 20m non insulated EWP to Australia, and have it available on the popular Japanese chassis brands.

Nifty-Lift’s engineers worked with Ruthmann’s team to develop a subframe design that was heavy duty enough for Australian conditions, yet still offering the ability to mount on a 4495kg GVM car licence truck. Crucially, the design also suits higher GVM trucks from Fuso, Hino and Isuzu to give more payload for tools and equipment.

The subframe and body is manufactured in Nifty-Lift’s manufacturing facility, and the Ruthmann EWP is also mounted and commissioned locally by Nifty-Lift.

Feedback from the HIRE19 show was encouraging, with many hire businesses assessing the idea of a self-drive/ dry hire truck mounted EWP. This rental category is extremely popular in Europe, and is starting to gain traction with Australian and New Zealand rental businesses.

A subsequent customer roadshow after HIRE19 has seen the Ecoline RS200 gain a large amount of interest from the arbor and telecommunications communities due to the compact size, yet tall working height and large side reach.
